1. Patient, 30 year old, infertile for two and a half years, contacted Ceperh for treatment. Hormonal tests and pelvic ultrasonography were performed, no alterations detected. During investigation, a post-coitum test was performed to check the ability of the spermatozoa to penetrate the cervical mucus. The result showed inadequacy.

Therefore, the recommendation was for ovulation induction for a programed intercourse (sexual intercourse on the date scheduled by the doctor, after ovulation control).

The pacient did became pregnant on the first attempt. Her pregnancy evolved very well, and she gave birth to a baby girl.

2. Patient, 28 years old, infertile for 5 years. Her diagnosis was minimal endometriosis, treated by video laparoscopy perfomed at the Ceperh. Others hormonal and ultrasonography resulted normal, as well as the sperm count.

The pacient received clomiphene citrate for ovulation induction, followed by intrauterine insemination. She got pregnant on the firt attempt.

Her pregnancy evolved without any problems, giving birth to a baby girl.

3. Patient, 36 years old, infertile for 6 years. In 1996 she performed an hysterosalpingogram (radiography for examination of the tubes and uterus), showing adhesions inside the uterus and bilateral obstruction of the tubes. At that time, she underwent salpingostomy, but without success.

She contacted Ceperh and a successful surgical hysteroscopy was performed to remove the adhesions.

After the surgery, In Vitro Fertilization and embryo transfer was perfomed. The patient became pregnant, and the pregnacy evolved to abortion after 3 months. The investigation of cause of the abortion showed the presence of antibodies of the antiphospholipid syndrome.

In 1998, she underwent a new In Vitro Fertilization attempt. A large number of embryos (8) were obtained. Four embryos were tranfered and the four remaining were frozen. The patient did not become pregnant.

In 1999, the frozen embryos have been unfrozen and put in culture at the laboratory until they reached the blastocyst stage. The embryos were tranfered and they evolved to a pregnancy of a single fetus, currently on the 5th month, everything going fine.

4. Patient, 33 years old, infertile for 4 years, and with 3 previous video laparoscopic surgeries preformed in 1996, 1997 and 1998. She was diagnosed endometriosis and pelvic adhesions, receiving clinical treatment on another center. At that time, at this center she underwent 3 intrauterine insemination, attempts without success.

As she contacted Ceperh, we looked for anti-sperm antibodies, which resulted positive.

Thus, the recommendation was for assisted fertilization using the ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) technique.

The patient evolved with a twin pregnancy, without any problems, giving birth to a baby boy and a baby girl.
